This class is taught by:

Robert Burke

What's your teaching style? It's sort of like your Tuesday Happy Hour Drag Queen followed you to Wednesday Morning Barre- I'm here to motivate while also making bad jokes that make you laugh. (You just laughed- didn't you?) Guilty Pleasure? Traveling- I love to travel and have been to some amazing places around the world on tour. My favorite, so far, definitely has to be Cape Town, South Africa. Who best channels your inner Diva? Call me a "Monster" but Lady Gaga is it. Favorite (Barre) Position? I like it on my back- I love playing around with different Bridging Series. They don't call me Bobby Tight Buns for nothing What's your mantra? Always Check the Box Why Barre? Why Not? It fuses two of my passions, dance and fitness.

Charlotte Richman

Charlotte loves all things fitness and health. Born and raised in uptown Hoboken, Charlotte was thrilled to see Local Barre make waves in the community when it first opened and has been attending classes for years. When the opportunity arose to become a Barretender, Charlotte couldn’t wait to get started. Growing up as a dancer, competitive swimmer and yogi, Charlotte has formed a deep connection with her body’s strength and flexibility and looks forward to sharing a Barre or Night Cap class with you. Some of Charlotte’s physical and athletic accomplishments include: a proclamation from the Mayor of the City of Hoboken for outstanding state-wide rankings in the 100 yard butterfly and 50 yard freestyle, High Tech High School Dance Department ‘Dancer of the Year’ Award (North Bergen, NJ), dancing professionally in New York and Los Angeles, the design, production and world-wide release of a fitness and mindset App called Fit, Flexible & Fabulous, and is 200-hour Hatha Yoga Certified from City Yoga in Los Angeles. As a graduate of University of Chicago with a double major in Linguistics and International Relations, Charlotte is enthusiastic about communication, business and travel, but health and movement still come first! She looks forward to meeting you in class soon!

Andrea Kain

What's your teaching style? My style is fun yet challenging. I like to push my class until they reach the point where they feel they want to give up. They always keep pushing through! There's no better feeling than pushing yourself like never before. It's so fulfilling for me to be able to witness that every day. Guilty pleasure? Chocolate. If it's covered in chocolate I'm in! What's your hidden talent? Is eating a talent? I have a HUGE appetite and am constantly eating. Favorite barre position? Stacked hydrant What's your mantra? Accept what is, let go of what was, have faith in what will be. Why barre? When I moved to Hoboken I was looking for a class incorporating dance and fitness, my two passions. I stumbled upon Local Barre and gave barre class a shot. I was immediately hooked. I loved how it worked muscles I didn't even knew existed. The exercises make you feel pretty and you get a killer workout all at the same time. Proudest moment? Marrying my husband. He's my best friend and biggest fan. I'll never forget that day.

Kathleen Rooney

What's your teaching style?Encouraging, Challenging, Creative, Fun! I love pulling from my dance background and am a huge yogi so you'll definitely find those aspects in my class. I love pushing my clients to their own personal challenge points. Seeing clients gain confidence in themselves as they get stronger physically is my motivation. Guilty Pleasure? Waffles. And (re)watching The Vampire Diaries. #noshame What's your hidden talent? I can take a nap anytime, anywhere. Who best channels your inner Diva? Celine Dion. I love her quirkiness. Favorite (Barre) Position? Pretzel What's your mantra? There isn't a person you couldn't love if you took the time to read their story. Why Barre? I've been a performer most of my life and have a dance background. Barre allows me to connect to those roots while also bringing in other aspects of fitness. I've taken so many different kinds of fitness classes/programs through the years and always come back to barre. I love that its musically driven and leaves me feeling energized after class. Proudest Moment? I have two: 1.) Performing across the globe as Belle in Beauty and the Beast with Disney 2.) When my fiancee and I became puppy parents to our sweet puggle, Bacon.

Amanda R Robinson

What's your teaching style? Hands-on Guilty Pleasure? Vino What's your hidden talent? Eating Who best channels your inner Diva? Mariah Carey Favorite (Barre) Position? Water ski What's your mantra? One day at a time & you shall be fine. Why Barre? Babes & Booty! Proudest Moment? Filming the movie Trainwreck

Amanda F Fontana

What's your teaching style? It's my goal to encourage you not only physically but mentally to be your best self. Expect an upbeat class with an emphasis on proper form. Guilty Pleasure? Fro-yo dates with my Husband! Life is all about balance. What's your hidden talent? Parallel parking pick-up trucks in Hoboken. Ha! Who best channels your inner Diva? That girl from the block -- J-Lo! Favorite (Barre) Position? Fitness lunge -- This position fires up the thighs, glutes, and core with those 90 degree holds! What's your mantra? "The hardest part is over. You showed up -- you're here!" Why Barre? As a dancer, I've tried every workout under the sun. When asked, I explain Barre Fitness as working the muscles from the inside out. Keep it up and I promise you'll see results and feel your strongest. Proudest Moment? Becoming Mrs. Fontana!

Amber Hirsch

What's your teaching style? I'm a big believer in giving a class that cannot be duplicated and requires myself and my clients to be fully in the moment. I try to encourage everyone to take the class for themselves and customize as needed. If you're feeling amazing then push to the limit but if you need to be more gentle on that day that's ok too. I've been told that my classes are "sneaky hard" lol. I have a calm and soothing demeanor but I can certainly bring on those shakes! I'm all about having a good time too. Just because we're working out doesn't mean we can't let loose a little ;) Guilty Pleasure? Panda All Natural Raspberry Licorice and Netflix. Ok, and tequila. Who best channels your inner Diva? I'm going with a Pink/Beyonce hybrid. Favorite (Barre) Position? Mermaid. Get's my buns every time! What's your mantra? Workout because you love your body not because you hate it. Why Barre? I've danced all my life. While pursuing my dance studies in college I also started to work in fitness (teaching group exercise classes and other dance based workouts). However, it wasn't until I was rehabbing my knee after having my ACL replaced that I discovered barre. Not only was I obsessed with the workout BUT it was such an immense help in aiding my recovery. I've been in love ever since. Proudest Moment? Becoming a Mama tops the list but also very proud of the work I do with Local Barre. It's been an adventure growing with the company from the very first day Local Barre opened!

Sarah H Hinderhofer

What's your teaching style? Bootcamp drill Sergeant meets cheerleader with a dash of jokester. I'm not good at planning anything easy! I usually layout a murderous class but cheer you on the whole time while reminding you it's okay to CURSE when the burn gets rough. That way you get down with class feeling like a baller but know you didn't take anything too seriously in the process! Who best channels your inner Diva? WHITNEY HOUSTON. Now and forever. Guilty Pleasure? Peanut butter. I don't feel guilty about eating it but that I don't share it. #iputthatshitoneverything Favorite (Barre) Position? Mama loves a good pull up under the barre! What's your mantra? "It is what it is." That's not to say I'm a supporter of settling but the older I get, the more I realize some things are just meant to be embraced and not be changed, like my big, beautiful booty! You do you, do the things that make you happy, and screw the rest! Why Barre? Because it completely rehabbed my knee after a dance injury. Not to mention it makes me feel bad ass when a finish a neverending chair combo! What's your hidden talent? I don't have any hidden talents; i am pretty open about my talents of hanging upside down for a living #thatgirlteachinginfalselashes ....fine, I do a great E.T. Impersonation
