Amanda R Robinson

Amanda is a New Jersey native, who began training in dance at the age of 3 and teaching the discipline at her local dance studio at the age of 13. During her teens, Amanda also studied classical ballet and pointe at the training school for the New York City Ballet, The School of American Ballet. During this time, she was casted as a member of George Balanchine’s, “The Nutcracker” and “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream.” Amanda continued to dance throughout her college years on the nationally ranked TCNJ Dance Team, where she was captain her senior year. Currently, Amanda is a 3rd year veteran as an NBA Dancer for the Brooklyn Nets and has had the privilege to represent the brand performing overseas in eight countries including China, Italy, Brazil, Turkey, London, Spain, Jamaica, and Singapore. Performing over the years, Amanda has realized not only how important health and fitness is to her dance career, but also to everyday life. She understands conditioning on machines at the gym is not for everyone, including herself, and has found that Barre is an awesome total body workout that she cannot wait to share with you!

Robert Burke

Robert Burke graduated cum laude with a BFA in Dance from Rutgers University. He was recently seen in the North American Tour of "Cats" and can currently be seen dancing for Randy James' 10 Hairy Legs, Zella Dance, Yin Yue Dance Company, and Meagan Woods. Robert is also the Artistic Director and Choreographer for Robert Mark Dance and co-curator for "The 12 by 12 Dance Initiative" alongside Arielle Petruzzella. Robert is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer.

Kaitlyn Frotton

Kaitlyn Frotton is thrilled to finally be joining the Local Barre family! Kaitlyn is a seasoned performer, and dance/gymnastics teacher, with an undying passion for health and fitness. She’s performed in various shows Off-Broadway, Nationally, and Internationally both on land and on cruise ships in shows ranging in style from 50 Shades the Musical Parody to Macbeth. Maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle has always been key in her ability to handle the stress of the uncertainties and inconsistencies of show-biz, Kaitlyn spent the majority of her childhood competing in dance, soccer, and track. She’s an AFAA certified group fitness instructor, with years of teaching experience in zumba, dance, gymnastics, and acting. She’s become mildly obsessed with Local Barre and can’t wait to share her passion and love for this incredibly effective work out with her clients!

Andrea Ellis

Andrea Ellis was born and raised in New Jersey where she began dancing at the age of three. Throughout high school she studied dance extensively at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School’s gifted and talented dance program, New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble and New Jersey School of Ballet. Graduating from Montclair State University cum laude, she earned a BA in Communications with a minor in Dance. She is currently a member of Ariel Rivka Dance and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre. Andrea is eager to bring her passion for dance and fitness to Local Barre!

Charlotte Richman

Charlotte loves all things fitness and health. Born and raised in uptown Hoboken, Charlotte was thrilled to see Local Barre make waves in the community when it first opened and has been attending classes for years. When the opportunity arose to become a Barretender, Charlotte couldn’t wait to get started. Growing up as a dancer, competitive swimmer and yogi, Charlotte has formed a deep connection with her body’s strength and flexibility and looks forward to sharing a Barre or Night Cap class with you. Some of Charlotte’s physical and athletic accomplishments include: a proclamation from the Mayor of the City of Hoboken for outstanding state-wide rankings in the 100 yard butterfly and 50 yard freestyle, High Tech High School Dance Department ‘Dancer of the Year’ Award (North Bergen, NJ), dancing professionally in New York and Los Angeles, the design, production and world-wide release of a fitness and mindset App called Fit, Flexible & Fabulous, and is 200-hour Hatha Yoga Certified from City Yoga in Los Angeles. As a graduate of University of Chicago with a double major in Linguistics and International Relations, Charlotte is enthusiastic about communication, business and travel, but health and movement still come first! She looks forward to meeting you in class soon!

Janelle Lyons

Janelle Lyons has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Movement Science, as well as a Masters in The Art of Teaching. She has studied Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, and Exercise Physiology, and has been a Physical Education and Health teacher in Allendale, N.J for the past 8 years. Janelle has always had a passion for exercise, eating healthy, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She has worked as both a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. Janelle found that Barre was a great way to work every muscle in your body- while being safe at the same time. She was immediately obsessed with Barre and decided to pursue becoming an instructor. She loves that the class focuses on building lean long muscles and is based on the methods of Lotte Berk. Janelle is excited to be a part of the warm and welcoming Local Barre family, where the staff and the clients are open and eager to learn and work hard. She enjoys thinking of ways to teach a challenging class while encouraging her clients to push themselves. Nothing makes her happier than when she knows she has given her clients a great workout that will keep them looking and feeling their best.

Kristina D Del Grosso

Kristina is delighted to join the LB Team! She discovered Local Barre in 2011 and has been an avid member since her very first class. Kristina is quick to share her passion & will tell anyone that Local Barre techniques are truly the only exercises that challenge her body and has given her clear muscle definition (Yea Core muscles!!). Kristina loves creating a curriculum that is engaging and effective with some cool tunes. She embraces a healthy lifestyle and is an advocate of mental and physical wellness overall. Kristina graduated from Villanova University where she received a degree in Psychology and she is currently working toward her spin certification through Madd Dogg spinning! Her transition to Barretender was rooted in her enthusiasm and desire to coach others in their own unique journey toward fitness- As Kristina always says "Strong is Sexy!"....

Olivia Bernardo

Olivia fell in love with cycling years ago as the ultimate way to de-stress and get those happy endorphins pumping. Prior to joining Wheelhaus Bikegarten, she instructed at the University of Miami (FL), the New York Sports Club, and the Bobbi Brown-owned 3Sixty Cycling Studio in Montclair, New Jersey. She is a certified instructor with Mad Dogg Athletics Spinning and Schwinn Indoor Cycling. Since her college days, Olivia has spent her years working in NYC at three of the top fashion magazines in the world. Still she maintains an intense passion for teaching, which is evident in her instructing style: she loves to transform newbies and avid riders into Wheelhaus powerhauses!

Amber Hirsch

Amber Hirsch graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Dance Performance. In addition to her passion for dance, she has always had an interest in health and fitness and began to explore how the two can be brought together. In 2002, her journey into the fitness industry began as she immersed herself in learning as much as possible through different certifications and life experiences. Some of these certifications include NASM, AFAA, Practical Pliates, Spin and Scwinn. In 2010, her career found the perfect balance of dance and fitness when she began instructing at Local Barre and is now loving her position as Director of Fitness.
Our signature class, Open Barre℠, packed powerfully into a 45 minute format! Open Barre is a fusion of ballet fundamentals, core conditioning, Yoga and stretching for a total body workout using lightly weighted yoga balls, stretching strap, ballet barre, playground ball, and yoga mat to achieve a lean, flexible, youthful body. Open Barre℠ is just that, open to beginners and all levels of practice. Socks are required.
