Amanda is a New Jersey native, who began training in dance at the age of 3 and teaching the discipline at her local dance studio at the age of 13. During her teens, Amanda also studied classical ballet and pointe at the training school for the New York City Ballet, The School of American Ballet. During this time, she was casted as a member of George Balanchine’s, “The Nutcracker” and “A Mid­Summer Night’s Dream.” Amanda continued to dance throughout her college years on the nationally ranked TCNJ Dance Team, where she was captain her senior year. Currently, Amanda is a 3rd year veteran as an NBA Dancer for the Brooklyn Nets and has had the privilege to represent the brand performing overseas in eight countries including China, Italy, Brazil, Turkey, London, Spain, Jamaica, and Singapore. Performing over the years, Amanda has realized not only how important health and fitness is to her dance career, but also to everyday life. She understands conditioning on machines at the gym is not for everyone, including herself, and has found that Barre is an awesome total body workout that she cannot wait to share with you!






Amanda Grace Holt originally from a small town in Pennsylvania started dancing at the young age of 2. She competed nationally in dance and went on to graduate from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA with a BA in Musical Theater and minor in Dance. Since her arrival to NYC post-graduation, she has been fortunate to work professionally as a dancer and choreographer. Her favorite credits include the national tours of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as a Silly Girl and Dance Captain, and most recently with ELF the musical (ensemble) where her boyfriend proposed on stage! Soon after that life changing moment, she moved to Hoboken with her fiancé and was introduced to Localbarre. Amanda is thrilled to be working with this awesome team of barretenders and can’t wait to share her knowledge and love for dancing and fitness with you!






Amber Hirsch graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a degree in Dance Performance in 2002. Soon after graduation she continued to pursue her education by studying at the Laban Centre For Movement in London and later began to perform with several NYC based dance companies. Mrs. Hirsch has worked with Salvatore LaRussa Dance Theatre, Nina Buisson Contemporary Move, White Oak Dance Project, Notes In Motion and others. She has also had the opportunity to perform and teach at the Lublin National Dance Festival as well as touring Russia, Poland and Belarus. Amber was also the Co­Director of AKRNYM, a multi­media dance company, that performed at various events in Boston and NYC. Along with her passion for dance, Amber is also a NASM certified personal trainer and Pilates instructor.






Andrea Ellis was born and raised in New Jersey where she began dancing at the age of three. Throughout high school she studied dance extensively at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School’s gifted and talented dance program, New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble and New Jersey School of Ballet. Graduating from Montclair State University cum laude, she earned a BA in Communications with a minor in Dance. She is currently a member of Ariel Rivka Dance and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre. Andrea is eager to bring her passion for dance and fitness to Local Barre






Donielle Ej Janora had a childhood filled with dance, gymnastics and athletics. She received a B.F.A. in Dance Performance from the University at Buffalo while being a nationally ranked Track & Field heptathlete (7 events). Her professional dance career travelled nationally with the “The Will Rogers Follies” and “Footloose” tours and continued internationally on Norwegian Cruise Lines. She has danced for L'oreal, Paul Mitchell, Studio 54 SiriusXM Radio,Target, XBox Kinect and ILuminate (featured on "America's Got Talent") to name a few. Donielle is also the dance coordinator/choreographer for the United States Tournament of Dance and Acrobatic Team where they have performed at Disney, Universal Studios, Hershey Park,Madison Square Garden and the Prudential Center. She is on the faculty at Steven Institute of Technology, STEPS in New York City and Icon Dance Complex (home of the ICONic Boyz from MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew"). She is also a 200 hour vinyasa flow yoga instructor. Donielle is thrilled to share her passionate blend for barre, dance and yoga with you at Local Barre.






Janelle Kelly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Movement Science, as well as a Masters in The Art of Teaching. She has studied Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, and Exercise Physiology, and has been a Physical Education and Health teacher in Allendale, N.J for the past 8 years. Janelle has always had a passion for exercise, eating healthy, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She has worked as both a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. Janelle found that Barre was a great way to work every muscle in your body­ while being safe at the same time. She was immediately obsessed with Barre and decided to pursue becoming an instructor. She loves that the class focuses on building lean long muscles and is based on the methods of Lotte Berk. Janelle is excited to be a part of the warm and welcoming Local Barre family, where the staff and the clients are open and eager to learn and work hard. She enjoys thinking of ways to teach a challenging class while encouraging her clients to push themselves. Nothing makes her happier than when she knows she has given her clients a great workout that will keep them looking and feeling their best.






Jessica Colberg graduated with honors from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts, with her B.F.A. in Dance. She has been professionally training in dance and performance for the past thirteen years at prestigious schools such as The School of American Ballet, Ballet Hispanico, Studio Maestro, The Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet and New Jersey School of Ballet, all under scholarship. She has performed at venues such as, The Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center, The Joyce Theater, Joyce Soho, Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, Jacobs Pillow Inside/Out Theater, Symphony Space, New York Live Arts, Dixon Place, and many more. She has worked with choreographers such as, Earl Mosley, Randy James, John Evans, Arielle Petruzzella, Inbal Pinto and Avshallom Pollack, Talia Beck, Julie Bour, Stefanie Batten­Bland, Doug Elkins, Danielle Agami, Matthew Rushing, etc. She trained at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's Summer Intensive in 2012 and recently interned at Earl Mosley's Institute of the Arts in 2013. Jessica strives to expand her knowledge within the dance and fitness world continuously and can't wait to share her insight with you at Local Barre!






Jennifer's childhood was packed with gymnastics, cheerleading and dance. She has a strong passion for exercise and clean eating. This active lifestyle helped spark her interest in Local Barre which grew to be an obsession and later lead her to become an instructor. Jennifer brings her love for fitness and healthy eating to her students in Jersey City, where she has been a teacher for 9 years. You can find Jennifer at Local Barre, Wheelhaus, running or walking her puggle Minnie with her fiancé.






Meghan Grant has always had a strong passion for exercise, being active, and living an overall healthy lifestyle. When she moved to Hoboken and found Local Barre she quickly became addicted, finding the classes invigorating and challenging, the instructors inspiring, and the entire staff warm and welcoming. After having her son in 2012 Meghan used Barre to get herself back into shape and loved how it made her stronger and changed her body...she even saw her abs again! After a long career in public relations she finally decided to turn her love for fitness into something more and pursued becoming a Barretender. Also an avid cycling enthusiast, Meghan is so excited to join the Wheelhaus team, and has a certification in Mad Dogg Spinning. Meghan loves being a part of the Local Barre family and creating lively and challenging classes to help clients to achieve their fitness goals.There's nothing better than helping people to look and feel their best!






From Freehold, NJ, Sarah graduated summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo, where she received her BFA in Dance with a minor in Education. She has professionally danced in off-broadway burlesque spectaculars, various casino productions around the country, and industrials for large clients & events such as the NY International Auto Show, LycaMobile, the South Beach Food & Wine Festival, Shuzz Fashion Show, PGA Championships, Webster Hall, & the Manhattan Classic Cocktail Gala at the New York Public Library. As an inaugural cast member for Celebrity Cruise Line, Sarah had the honor of being part of the creation team for the shows produced, also being the aerial captain, who is in charge of all aerial performances & safety. While at sea as an aerialist, she performed dance trapeze, quad trapeze, duo aerial hoop, bungee, harness, chandelier spinning, & statue body balancing. After ship life, Sarah went on to be part of the start up team at Celebrity Cruise Line's in-house production studio as a Rehearsal Director & Aerial Trainer at the world's largest rehearsal facility, where she would direct and install brand new casts preparing to perform at sea. She is still kicking and hanging from the ceiling, thanks to staying in shape at the barre. Sarah loves everything about Local Barre and is so happy to be serving you.
