Outdoor Booty Camp: Fall Edition

Had too much fun this summer? Get ready to get your booty kicked, twice a week, by Local Barre's hardcore barretenders. This 6-week workout is designed to whip you into shape by way of circuits, strength training, interval training, kettle bell and dumbbell work.


Workouts take place uptown on the pier. Sneakers are required.

Derrière Diary: Tiffany Edition Week 4

Every day we witness the incredible transformations our clients go through. These untold stories continually inspire us to keep doing what we love. We realized, if these stories inspired us then imagine what it would do for our community!

So we started the Derriére Diary, a series of stories that aim to motivate those looking to reach their own goals and challenges. The same ones our clients go through every day. 

But to start off we needed a strong voice. A fixture in our local community who’s brave enough to put their goals and progress on display in real time, for the world to see. So we invited the beautiful Tiffany Pinero to share her fitness journey.

Week 4: July 6th - 12th

FINALLY! This was my week. I had a ton on my plate with two major client photo shoots and packing up our entire lives from the past 5 years as we moved into a bigger apartment. Somehow though, I managed to stay on track with both my food and exercise goals. I didn’t want to make excuses I just wanted to get things done. It was worth it. I measured myself for the first time since we started I discovered: I AM SHRINKING! I am down 1.5” in the waist and half inches have disappeared from my arms and thighs.

Robert’s Outdoor Booty Camp has been an amazing pairing to my barre workouts. I like to mix it up and he has been challenging our group to really take it to the next level.

I wanted to get to more barre classes in this week but I needed all extra hours to pack. So every time I finished packing a box I did a circuit set of Lauren’s take home barre workout!

Having Tamara coach me with food choices is really what helped me have a guiltless week when it came to what I ate. I have a severe sweet tooth. She suggested I bake fruit as a snack. {UMM WHY didn’t I think of this sooner?!} Such a perfect treat and easy to make. Baked apple slices with cinnamon for the win ;)

Coming Up

This week ahead is the first week my work and personal schedule is not completely all over the place. I am looking forward to getting in some two-a-days and getting more nutritional advice from Tamara.
