If chosen, our Goddess will receive a complimentary three month membership, weekly check-in’s with a dedicated barretender and nutritionist and a rockin’ fit body.
 

What we need from you!


Candidate must finish the entire 8 week program.
Candidate must check-in weekly with an assigned barretender to hold fit test, take measurements and map out the next week’s schedule.
Every Sunday, candidate must turn in a weekly template with fit test results, measurements and 400-750 word summary about the past week’s experience.

The Results!


I can't believe it's already the end of the challenge! In 9 weeks I am down 6 pounds! What’s even more impressive are these inches lost! Where did they go? I don't know, but ya'll don't come back, ya hear! I've lost 3.5 inches in my waist, 3 inches in my thighs, and my hips and chest have leaned out while my arms have been speaking for themselves. It feels so good to look and be strong!

A Look Back

Prior to the challenge I worked out regularly and ate well, but I wasn't feeling my best and it showed. Because of a knee injury, I was living in Plateau City. So when this challenge presented itself, I knew this was THE opportunity to turn things around in a way that I could stick with.

Just because this is being shared on a large platform, I didn't want to go into this with an unmaintainable obsession. I wanted the real experience. Aside from running my own business, I had two weddings, two bachelorette parties, a one week family vacation, and a move to a new apartment. I can have a little fun right? These past 9 weeks prove that I can still have an amazing time while reaching my fitness goals.

 Throughout these weeks, my workout routine consisted of strength training, cardio and stretching from my Booty Camp, Barre and Wheelhaus classes. (Take a look back in my Diary for my weekly schedule.) I also I met with holistic health coach Tamara Mans. All my weekend events were making clean eating difficult! She would give me suggestions on lower calorie cocktails and high protein homemade snacks. It worked! Because of her advice, I’m in control of what my body needs and what it deserves when it comes to indulgences.

With all the celebrations in my summer schedule, I finally started shedding inches from my waist and thighs at week 6. At week 7, friends started to notice my sculpted arms and perkier derrière.

While you won't be seeing me check in here weekly anymore, you will definitely still see me in class. I am so happy I was able to have this opportunity to realign myself and my health. Barre, Wheelhaus and Booty Camp was the perfect kickstart to a better me. Thank you to barretenders Robert and Lauren for keeping me on track and a special thanks to all of you who cheered me along the way and who "liked" my challenge photos so I can do a 2 minute plank like its nothing now.

Week 7: July 27th - August 2nd

As silly as it sounds my biggest struggle this week was staying hydrated. It was a hot one! I felt like although I was drinking a lot, with the heat, I needed more water. Then I fell into that confusing area of, am I hungry or am I thirsty? The good news is I fed a lot of the feelings with more water and stayed on track. I can see how that would have challenged me in the past though.

It was a great week for a variety of classes. I was able to mix in barre with an instructor I haven’t had before, Jen V… you betta work! My glutes were pushed to the maximus. On Friday I ended my week with Wheelhaus. A.) Kim’s playlist would have me riding forever, so fun and B.) it is such a different workout my body was thriving on the switch. I took the weekend off from the barre but still got some cardio in shopping for a client. ;)

I posted a recipe Tamara gave me on my Facebook page recently. The sweet potato muffins are perfect on the go and have a hearty with a touch of sweet taste I love!

Week 6: July 20th - 26th

Well, this was the week I was working for! It was finally shoot time for my book and I felt ready as I had mentioned in last week’s entry. I got right back into tone mode on Wednesday by taking Donielle’s barre class and the thoughts going through my head were, “ring the alarm there’s a fire in my thighs!!!” “Is it possible for my glutes to pop right off my body from holding a pose for so long?”


Needless to say after weeks of taking barre and booty camp, the challenge is still there. I love that even though I am getting stronger, class is not repetitive and I am really begging for mercy by the end of each class. All the merciless moves have taken a positive toll.


When I measured myself I couldn’t believe my thighs were down 2 inches! I noticed, when wearing a romper this weekend, that my thighs seemed to be a little more sculpted but the measuring tape was the truth teller. I was mostly surprised because I had done fine with my eating during the week, but nothing spectacular. Had a glass of wine here and there and indulged in some tequila (hello! #nationaltequiladay) but overall I wasn’t being obsessive. These results though have made me really think about any splurges (post-drinking pizza…!). I used to constantly make the excuse that I deserved to indulge and guess what? Indulgence ended being a daily thing because when in doubt you can always say YOLO. Ah!


Knowing how hard I’ve been working at the barre and in class makes me have that extra glass of lemon water Tamara recommends before giving into temptation.

Week 5: July 13th - 18th

Another busy week came and went and I faced it with enthusiasm. Seeing results will have you feeling that way ya know ;). Two Barre classes + two servings of Robert’s Booty Camp had me feeling amazing. The combination of very targeted workouts and really refining my meals with the help of Tamara is working. I am seeing definition in my stomach and an overall flatter appearance all around. I also am seeing a nice perkiness to my backside. Guess you don’t call it the derriere diaries for nothing!


My book shoot is this week and although that was my main motivation, I am not stopping. My results have motivated me to see what can happen with more time and dedication. Overall I am happy with where I am and confident to do my shoot. I am so obsessed with Booty Camp I shortened our Tuesday shoot in upstate NY so I can get back in time for my evening class with Robert. It’s addicting!

Week 4: July 6th - 12th

FINALLY! This was my week. I had a ton on my plate with two major client photo shoots and packing up our entire lives from the past 5 years as we moved into a bigger apartment. Somehow though, I managed to stay on track with both my food and exercise goals. I didn’t want to make excuses I just wanted to get things done. It was worth it. I measured myself for the first time since we started I discovered: I AM SHRINKING! I am down 1.5” in the waist and half inches have disappeared from my arms and thighs.

Robert’s Outdoor Booty Camp has been an amazing pairing to my barre workouts. I like to mix it up and he has been challenging our group to really take it to the next level.

I wanted to get to more barre classes in this week but I needed all extra hours to pack. So every time I finished packing a box I did a circuit set of Lauren’s take home barre workout!

Having Tamara coach me with food choices is really what helped me have a guiltless week when it came to what I ate. I have a severe sweet tooth. She suggested I bake fruit as a snack. {UMM WHY didn’t I think of this sooner?!} Such a perfect treat and easy to make. Baked apple slices with cinnamon for the win ;)

Week 3: June 29th - July 5th

Oh boy! Last week was hard again with the eating because we were on vacation. I am weak and indulgences were everywhere. I compromised and had two cheat days so that I wasn’t constantly stressed about my food intake.

I also checked in with Tamara and she gave me some good advice on how to curb cravings. She set me up with some amazing and easy recipes to get me on track for the week ahead. {Photos to come!} She harped on me to drink water with lemon first thing in the morning and I found this not only to be great for my body but it also gave me a few minutes to set my intentions for the day. I am enjoying this as a “5 minutes of calm” before the storm.

Working out was my favorite part of the week, it was where I felt in control. Being on a trip where I was in swimwear most of the time made me accountable. Lauren had given me a take home workout that was seriously tough! I had fun doing it on the grass while my dog watched me. I tried to do it with minimal breaks to really challenge myself. There was also a low fence around the yard and I did some glute moves I had learned in Amber’s Open Barre. I used one of my nephew’s toys to replace the purple ball we use in class. Score! ;)

Week 2: June 22 - 28th

This week was challenging because work wise I was so busy. I was happy to have completed four barre classes, two of them being challenging private sessions with Lauren. I wanted to better with my eating so I didn’t diminish my hard work. My jammed schedule made it difficult for me to work in any extra cardio and I felt like I didn’t do the best job packing snacks which made me very hungry in situations where there were little to no healthy options.

Fortunately, Local Barre hooked me up with Tamara, a Holistic Health Coach! With just a few minutes to chat she already has provided me some encouraging food solutions for when I get in those situations so I am excited about that!

Having Lauren really study my form has been amazing. She noticed I work my body in a linear way and has been challenging me with circuits and moves that also work my body laterally. My hips and lower back feel so much looser it has made a world of difference in just a couple of days. I am loving the weighted series. My arms are already looking a touch more toned and I feel myself lasting longer in plank and increasing my push ups.

The Program

Tiffany’s 8 week journey is centered around Local Barre and Wheelhaus programs, with a mix of private sessions and cardio. Her program will be guided by June’s It Girl Lauren Doto. With weekly check-in’s, Lauren will not only design her weekly schedule, she’ll also be there as a cheerleader to motivate Tiffany along the way!


Tiffany's Story

Hi, I’m Tiffany! If you're a barre babe who reads this blog you may know me as the fashion stylist who helps take your favorite barretenders From The Barre To The Boulevard.

Today I announced on my blog that I am writing a book! This exciting project will be filled with images of yours truly showcasing some of my favorite styling tips. The photoshoot is coming up and I want (need!) to feel stronger, fitter, and more confident in front of the camera. So this 8 week challenge couldn’t come at a better time.

Even though I engage in some kind of workout 4-5 days a week and eat pretty clean, I don't feel like my physique has been reflecting that as of late. It’s time for me to shake things up and push myself from good to great! Follow me on my journey on this blog and on instagram!

Week 1: June 15 - 21st

This first week felt pretty good. Mentally, I was happy just getting the work done. I attended a family party and a father’s day gathering this weekend and all the hard work I put in kept me in check when it came time to choose what and how much was on my plate.

Coming Up

This week I want to work on my form in class to make sure I am getting the most out of every move. When my thighs are on fire I know I am doing it right :) I also have an old injury that flares up on my right sciatic nerve, stretching really helps it. One of my goals will be to gain more flexibility in hopes that stretching will help my sciatica.
