Meet, Katie Knowles! 

Katie joined the Local Barre leadership team as a Talent Development Consultant in the summer of 2019. Katie’s knowledge and experience have proven to be an invaluable asset in Local Barre’s continued efforts to improve Barretender training and strengthen our team. 

Katie Knowles is University of Minnesota graduate with a double major in Speech Communication & Dance. After graduation, Katie was selected to join, perform and tour nationally with JAZZDANCE! By Danny Buraczeski, a professional dance company. Katie has been featured in commercial productions and variety of dance/theatrical productions. Her background as a dance instructor covered a wide range of dance genres. Katie immediately fell in love with Barre when she took her first class in Chicago. She had found her passion and immediately immersed herself in the boutique fitness industry. Katie’s “second career” developed in marketing, where she joined Euro RSCG Worldwide and then the Chicago Mayor’s Office of Special Events. Katie holds a Masters Degree in Arts Management from Columbia University (Chicago). When she moved back to the East coast, Katie taught at Local Barre in Hoboken as a Senior Barretender, until she relocated with her family to Hilton Head, SC. Katie is currently the Owner Operator of a successful CycleBar franchise, where she is also the Lead CycleStar. Her passion for fitness keeps Katie involved in many types of fitness instruction, and she is especially enthusiastic about the Barre industry. Katie is excited to be back, growing the team at Local Barre!
