Planksgiving 2019

Budget: $200

Setup 

  • 3 Black high top tables

  • Three flower arrangements from Monroe Center Florist

Booze quantity:

  • 5 bottles Prosecco

  • 1 bottle Sparkling Cider

  • 3 bottles red wine

Food:

  • Cheese platter from Wine + Cheese shop in Monroe Shop. Vicki will give us a discount!

  • *Note: do not display food on pre-made platters, must be on glass plates. 

NOTES:

  • We had 20 people in the Free class

  • 10 people signed up for the Plankoff Challenge

  • We used 4 bottles of red wine - didn’t even open champagne.

  • People liked the cheese and crackers, particularly brie and dried fruit.

  • Winner, Carolina Roberts, went to 46 min and 21 seconds - will need to allocate an hour for the event next year!

  • Maybe just add a veggie and hummus platter but don’t need too much extra food, just need more variety. Don’t need as much alcohol. 

  • Like to have Christmas decorations up for event.

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Reports to Local Barre Director of Talent, Katie Knowles

  • Participates in a weekly lead call with Katie Knowles

  • Conducts quarterly classes for Barretenders to keep class ideas/materials fresh and updated

    • All Barretenders must attend

  • Monitors Social Media for brand continuity

    • Make sure Barretenders are posting weekly schedules

  • In charge of Barretender Auditioning/Training/Hiring with oversight from Katie Knowles

  • Local Barre Schedule Oversight

    • Assist General Manager with seasonal class schedule

    • Oversight of Barretender Schedule/Subbing

    • Communicates with General Manager on open classes, underperforming classes, and holiday schedules

  • Conducts Barretender performance reviews as needed

  • Participates in Barretender continuing education

  • Communicates with Barretender team regarding photo shoots, continuing ed, event participation, etc

  • Regularly takes class from all Barretender’s and offers constructive feedback when necessary after conferring with Katie Knowles
